Cherry bookcase with rolling ladder system.

This replaced an undersized mantle with a more elaborate mantel and panel system. Designer requested rosettes for the legs supporting the mantel, but we talked her into the sunflower carvings. It’s alder, with glaze, and is located in Mountain Village, Telluride.

We broke through a wall and created an arched cabinet. Other side of cabinet is sink, refridgerator and storage, etc. Panel on front was cnc carved with design chosen by client. He lived in Czech Republic and wanted the carvings to have that old world look. Finish is a glazed cherry.

This is a pine cabinet system with distressed finish. Things to note are the distressing, the turned legs, surface of top was hand planed with an antique Stanley scrub plane. The TV is recessed into the cabinet with a mechanical mount.
